Eighth Annual Women Healing Women Symposium 2003
Shoshanna Katzman and Red Bank Acupuncture & Wellness Center proudly present the Eighth Annual Women Healing Women Symposium 2003 on Sunday, November 16th from 8AM to 6PM at the Eatontown Sheraton in New Jersey. This year’s conference, “Dare to Be You”, is sponsored by Intecardia, Fleet Bank, Boynton & Boynton, Manfredi Orthotic & Prosthetic Affiliates, LLC, Institute for Human Performance, PlanetConnect and Jewell Marketing Associates. The conference activities include a full day of health and healing lectures, interactive roundtables with unique and interesting women professionals, networking, and an expo - all dedicated to the needs of women. The dynamic keynote speaker is nationally known nutritionist Shari Lieberman, PhD, CNS, FACP, and best-selling author of The Real Vitamin & Mineral Book, Dare To Lose: 4 Simple Steps To A Better Body, and Get Off the Menopausal Rollercoaster. Past keynote speakers have included Christiane Northrup, MD, Caroline Myss, PhD., Christine Schenk, Coretta Scott King, and Richard Simmons.
The expert roster of speakers include well-known and respected nutritionist Gayle Reichler, MS, RD, CDN, author of Active Wellness;.physicians Beth Deutsch, MD, radiologist, and Mindy Wiser-Estin, MD, gynecologist; psychologists Madeline Muise, MSW and Barbara Holstein, PhD, author of The Enchanted Self; acupuncturist Shoshanna Katzman, LAc, MA and author of Qigong for Staying Young and Feeling Light; chiropractors Melissa Makin, DC and Donna Mutter, DC; and movement therapist and Vagina Monologue workshop leader Blair Glaser, MA. Performing artist Lynn Gassel will provide entertainment throughout the day.
“I am very excited and pleased that all these talented women health care experts will be collaborating with me to make this symposium very interactive and informative,” said Shoshanna Katzman. “We have planned a very exciting day which will leave you feeling empowered mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.” Shoshanna Katzman and Red Bank Acupuncture & Wellness Center have co-presented this conference for the last eight years. She added, “This annual event was founded as an educational forum dedicated to women’s health and healing from both alternative and western medical perspectives and as a means of giving back to the community.”
This year, proceeds from the symposium will benefit 180 Turning Lives Around, formerly the Women’s Center of Monmouth County. “We are very pleased that we have been invited to participate and benefit from this year’s “Women Healing Women” symposium said Anna M. Diaz-White, Executive Director of 180 Turning Lives Around. The center offers services to all members of a family affected by domestic violence and sexual abuse: women, children and men.
