Dr. Beth Deutch is a nationally renowned and published breast imager with 12 years of breast imaging experience, during which time she has interpreted over 100,000 mammograms and performed thousands of imaging-guided breast needle biopsies. Beth was the first radiologist in New Jersey certified to read digital mammography and credentialed in stereotactic and ultrasound-guided needle biopsy of the breast.

In August 2002, Beth opened her own free-standing comprehensive private breast imaging practice, HerSpace, dedicated to putting women at ease while pursuing the clinical objective of detecting and diagnosing breast cancer at its earliest, most curable stage.

Before pursuing her professional dream of starting HerSpace, Dr. Deutch spent eight years as director of breast imaging and medical director of the Wilentz Breast Center at Monmouth Medical Center. She came to Monmouth County from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where, as an assistant attending radiologist, she started the cancer hospital’s breast MRI program and helped pioneer stereotactic breast biopsy.

Dr. Deutch completed her residency in diagnostic radiology and fellowship in breast imaging at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Brown University and The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Beth’s busy professional life is happily grounded by three children—Simon, Noah and Charlotte—and husband Larry.
