Blair Glaser
Blair Glaser
MA, Psychospiritual Counselor and Drama Therapist

Blair Glaser, MA, has a creative healing practice in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Her passion for consciousness has led her to in-depth study of various spiritual traditions, while the healing power of theatre led Blair to get her Master's in Drama Therapy from Vermont College and The Institutes for the Arts in Psychotherapy. She has led drama therapy groups with women, children, actors, and PTSD veterans, and guest lectured about drama therapy at New Rochelle College, The New School and New York University. In 1999, Envoyie Special, the European version of "Nightline," filmed one of her drama therapy groups for a special on Broadway actors.

Since 1998, Blair has worked for V-Day, an organization to stop violence against women, and since the fall of 2000, she has led The Vagina Monologues Workshop, a creative approach to empowerment for women in New York City, Santa Fe, Los Angeles and at Omega retreat centers.

Services:

In addition to facilitating the Vagina Monologues Workshop, Blair has a private Creative Psychotherapy practice, in which she utilizes a unique blend of verbal psychotherapy, creativity, energy work and spiritual philosophy to support empowered living. She also works with individuals and groups in the Developmental Transformations method of drama therapy, a highly fun mode of healing which increases embodiment and intimacy through improvisational play between therapist and client.

Presentation:

“Dare to Be in Your Body -- Feeling the heart of your vagina”

What is this mysterious thing we call sexuality?
How, with all of the cultural pressure to look and be a certain way, can it be a source of our own pleasure and power?

In this half hour presentation, we will learn new ways to think about empowerment, and how being connected to our vaginas is an essential part of this process.

IRP's

Non-verbal expression promoting creativity and embodiment, followed by brief verbal processing
