Melissa Makin
Melissa Makin Sannelli
D.C.

Dr. Melissa Makin Sannelli graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1993 and from Bowdoin College of Chiropractic with a B.A. in Chemistry and German in 1989. What attracted Dr. Makin to the field of chiropractic is the principle of which it is founded: When the spine is properly aligned, nerve interference is reduced and the body is better able to heal itself. Dr. Makin's postgraduate training has been in pre- and post-natal care, postural correction and pediatrics. Dr. Makin is also certified in N.A.E.T., Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique. This natural method is based on the philosophy of traditional medicine, acupuncture and chiropractic. With N.A.E.T., the person's nervous system is re-balanced and reprogrammed through acupressure, causing one to be free of allergies and sensitivities without any harmful side-effects. Patients who have been treated with N.A.E.T. under Dr. Makin's care have experienced results such as the elimination of rashes and anemia, as well as the disappearance of dark circles under the eyes, known medically as "allergy shiners." Dr. Makin has had a wellness practice in the Red Bank/Little Silver area since 1996 and has participated in the ‘Women Healing Women’ Conference for seven years.

The practice also has a wonderful office manager, Corinne Makin, who is both friendly and helpful. The mission of Dr. Makin and her team is to educate and adjust as many families as possible toward optimal health through natural chiropractic care. The practice is also happy to offer N.A.E.T., the natural method for allergy sufferers. The staff and doctors of MFCC are committed to providing high-quality, gentle chiropractic care and cater to people who may be nervous about having their spines adjusted. The patient base is predominantly women and children, yet more and more men are realizing the pain-relieving, strengthening results of chiropractic care and reaping the phenomenal health benefits as well! Patients range from four days old to 90 and up. Dr. Makin states, "We feel that total health begins with a balanced spine and nervous system, and continues with conscious living, healthful eating and harmonious relationships."
