Women are remarkable creatures. We are capable of doing so many things. Our bodies are designed to give new life. We are mothers, daughters, wives, and caretakers; we are engaged in fast paced careers and often all at the same time! We are living complicated and hectic lives thats takes its toll on our biological aging clocks. I want to empower women.I will discuss 'prevention' first and foremost and how we can protect ourselves in this sometimes hostile environment. Balance is the key to this success. I will tell you how you can achieve this balance. This inner peace and harmony. As we age and go through different stages of our lives we need to be equipped for what's ahead. I will share many of my practices that have helped women through these changes; changes such as obesity, depression, migraine headaches,PMS,muscle aching, perimenopause, menopause and more. Finally, I will speak about hormonal balance and what that really means and how it effects every aspect of our lives and how we can keep them in check so that we will be healthy and feel vibrant and beautiful as we should.

Alternatives to Hormone Therapy for Menopausal Symptoms In July 2002, the NIH halted the Women’s Health Initiative study looking at the use of estrogen and progesterone for the prevention of heart disease, osteoporosis, etc. because the risks outweighed the benefits. Since that time, many of us have looked to alternative therapies for the relief of menopause symptoms. I will discuss the risks, benefits and possible side effects of various herbal remedies (Vitex, Black Cohosh, Evening Primrose Oil, Red Clover) as well as SSRIs (Prozac, Zoloft, Effexor, etc.) and bisphosphorates (Fosomax, Actonel) for osteoporosis.

This listing of Roundtable topics will soon be complete. Please visit again for more information about the issues for the Roundtable discussions.
